Fashion Week Streaming

Topshop will be streaming fashion week again.  I'm going to have to stay up past my bedtime here in Korea to catch a few of the shows - not that anything will keep me from indulging myself in the hazy delight of a Meadham Kirchhoff show.

Speaking of the designer duo, did anyone else spot the spelling error in the above poster??

Back to School

Since I'm back to school now for the autumn term, I'm newly obsessed with these Jeffrey Campbell shoes.

They seem fitting.  Although totally inappropriate for a teacher at an all-boys school.

FASHION CATS

I've peddled this useless bit of information about me around on the internet before now, but here it is again: my mission in life is to one day own a cat who looks like me.

I've been putting it off for years because what I truly want is several cats that look like me, a zany floral mumu to cover my sickeningly obese body, a porch to sit out on with strawberry daiquiri in one hand, a jumbo galaxy bar in the other, and a crown on my head.  I don't think I'm ready to achieve this dream yet.  At least not the chronically obese part.

Unfortunately, I think I've found the cat of my dreams in this book by Takako Iwasa.

Except for the eye colour.  I wonder if the author knows where I can get some cat contact lenses from?  And maybe she'll make me a matching mumu if I ask nicely?

I'd better start binge eating, just in case.

Platoon and Bling Flea Market

I bought some vintage Lanvin heels and a YSL dogtooth jacket at this vintage flea market I went to the other week.  It was in a bar in Gangnam, Seoul called Platoon Kunsthalle, which is constructed from cargo units.  I got my picture taken for some Korean street style magazine/ website feature while I was there but I doubt they'll use it as I imagine I looked awful smiling tightly while awkwardly clutching my wares.

The next one is on this Saturday.  Go go go.

Busy Busy

I've been neglecting this 'ere blog in favour of my new project Chincha!?, which I've already mentioned in a previous post.  It's going exceedingly well, rather like a tumultuous love affair.  I may even ask it to marry me.

I've also been away over different parts of Korea, including the East Coast (mothertruckerrrrs) and to a gorgeous river situated slightly more South than I'm based, where a lot of people got naked on my birthday and sat on a rock.

All in all I'm having a swell time and will leave you with a random photo dump which pretty much sums up my life at the moment.

Jeffrey Lewis

One of my favourite lyricists, Jeffrey Lewis, is in Seoul tonight.  Gonna get head-nodding in that hipster way (with a not-so-hipster lopsided drunken grin on my face) to his song about ramyen.
