Jeremy Scott/ Adidas/ 2NE1

The older I get, the more attracted I become to brash streetwear from brands I haven't coveted since I was in primary school (I would have killed for some joggers with poppers when I was nine).

It doesn't help when those brands enlist the help of designer Jeremy Scott and Korean girlband-of-the-moment 2ne1 to add kudos to their wares, like Adidas has done recently.

I haven't loved a girlband so much that I wanted to crimp my hair and wear trainers since my infatuation with The Spice Girls in 2008.

Is this a quarter-life crisis or something?

The Thorium Dream

I've got a lot of spare time coming up and it's going to be hot hot hot outside.  This means I'll be spending my time wisely by watching conspiracy theory documentaries in a cool, dark room, while drinking raspberry vodka.

The Thorium Dream will be at the top of my list.  I fully believe from the insane natural disasters that keep occurring that the world needs to seek safer energy, and I for one will happily support people who are looking for alternatives methods and sources.  Plus the anarchist inside of me (she's hidden somewhere underneath all the apathy) loves a bit of government bashing.

Chincha!?

Some friends and I have started a website called Chincha!? (it makes sense in Korean), which is focusing on music, fashion, events and pop culture in this country we've found ourselves in.  Hence the reason I've been neglecting this blog.  It's very much in its tentative stage, but you should check it out nonetheless.  My friends are great photographers so there's some pretty pictures for mindless viewing (which I know is what we all like to look at best on the web).

Also, we're choosing a logo for it at the moment.  Which one of these designs by my multi-talented illustrator friend Hea-Won do you prefer?

Flatforms

I found these at a local boutique.  I thought they had a certain charm anyway with their flatform heel and Birkenstock design.  Then I found out that they attached with velcro, not with buckles, and I fell in lust.  I feel like I've reverted back to being five years old when I wear them.  Truly a case of acting your shoe size, not your age.

The Most Evil People in Fashion

This hilarious article on Vice about the most evil people in fashion reminded me of a previous post I wrote about Kim Jong Il being a fashionista.  It also got me thinking about how Kate Moss has been getting her evil on recently by wearing a dress designed by alleged racist John Galliano on her wedding day.

This led into me deciding that Kim Jong Il and Kate Moss are pretty much the same person.  Let's look at the facts: Both are rumoured to have had dealings with drugs, both barely ever speak in public and both have this air of enigmatic mystery surrounding them as a result.

In fact, the only disparity I can find between them at all is that Kim has bigger moobs than Moss.

Who do you think is the most evil person in fashion? Or who, in your opinion, is fashionably evil?

Teeeeeees

I'm obsessed with this new t-shirt I picked up at Gangnam subway station in Seoul.  It only cost about £3 and it's super soft.  And it has elephants on it!

A perfect tee for dancing to this awesome playlist I made.
