I love that the term 'cake rage' has been coined from a story about a woman smashing up a bakery in Cardiff.
The cynic in me thought it MUST be a PR stunt because of all the publicity the shop was garnering, but having read the story there are several eyewitnesses and a claim that the woman caused actual bodily harm when she grabbed the shop's owner by the hair!
I'm not sure I would ever attack someone over a cake, but I do experience a similar rage at 7pm every evening if I haven't eaten any chocolate that day. My anger tends to rise in correlation with my dipping sugar levels.
Above is the 'Sweet Tooth' fairycake that caused the one-woman riot.
Yum.

When I was pregnant with my middle son I had a sudden urge for a milkshake. As it was 10.30 pm and winter, I tried to resist the urge. Too strong.
ReplyDeleteOff to Mc Donalds in the car, had to be done. "One vanilla milshake please". Reply? "Sorry, the machine is broken". I very nearly cried. Driving home all sad, I remembered the pizza place in town did milkshakes, so I pulled up outside, ordered one and put it in the drink holder thingy by the gear stick.
Got home 3 minutes later, sat down, the milkshake was WARM.
I threw it across the room. The mess took weeks to clean up.
I think I would have smacked someone in the face if I'd tried it in the shop!
oh bless! at least you had the pregnancy as an excuse and you weren't just being a nutter.
