My new favourite shop in Korea is a superior version of Urban Outfitters. It has a vintage market on the top floor, where the wares are super cheap considering all the clothes are grouped by colour, style and decade. I could only take a few snaps as photography is banned instore but I think you can kind of see from the pictures that the vibe of the place is very much that of a hip grandmother's attic.
So, did you buy anything? I'd love to have a good look around there.
ReplyDeleteHow did the Beatles contest go?
Nope, money's been tight in the first month as I had to pay for my plane ticket. I'm still waiting for my refund from school and my first month's pay. And then I'm going to go nuts!
ReplyDeleteAlso, they don't have mirrors in the changing rooms so I had no idea what anything I tried on actually looked like. Pretty stupid (or in Korean, 'babo'). I need to take an honest friend with me next time to help me decide. I tried on about three vintage denim jackets but had no idea what they looked like...
The Beatles singing comp was hilarious: I'm writing an email to my family about it so will copy you in!
WOW! That store looks truly amazing! Would love to have a good look through the vintage market level, sounds incredible. Nice work on the sneaky snaps! xx
ReplyDeleteYeah it's amazing, I got into a panicked state when I was there because I wanted to buy everything. Korea's so good for shopping, although I've heard Melbourne is wicked too.
ReplyDeleteohhh shoot me I JUST WANT TO STAY IN THERE FOR HOURS!!!!!!
